Overview
Gurume Sushi is a top quality Japanese-Korean sushi restaurant in Downtown Toronto. They have the typical assortment of california rolls, maki rolls, sashimi, noodles, and much more.
They have a very cool decor with a throwback to a classic Asian/Japanese eatery. The wood accent around the place is very nice. However, it doesn't supersede the cuisine. The food is ultra fresh, delicious, and I highly recommend it.
The seating is managed by Yelp via a tablet right in the main entrance. You must have the app to allow it to send a notification to your phone.
Once seated you'll an extensive menu of sushi party trays, maki, specialty rolls, and more. There's also rice bowls, grilled, and fried food. Everything to satisfy different palates.
This was our first meal for our first trip to Toronto and it was a great choice. It was right across the street from the Holiday Inn on Carlton so it made perfect sense. The location is in the Downtown business district of Toronto. You are not far from the Yonge-Dundas Square and so many other attractions.
The Food at Gurume
What did we order?
Rainbow Roll
Dynamite Roll
Salmon Teriyaka Bento Box
Seafood Udon
Salmon Poke
The Salmon Poke was by far my favorite. There were so many textures and flavors from all the fresh ingredients. It was really filling.
You would definitely enjoy the food so go give them a try if you're in Downtown Toronto.
