If you're in Toronto Canada and you're looking for some of the best Jamaican food, Patois should be on your itinerary. Nestled on Dundas St W, you'll notice the big sign and outdoor seating.
Next we inhaled the smell of the cuisine and walked in to get seated. They were quite busy but the host made arrangements for us even though they were packed during lunch time. We are from the US and were visiting Toronto for the first time and had this on our list of restaurants to visit.

The Food at Patois Toronto
We ordered the Feast for 1-2 which included the following:
2 Jamaican Beef Patties
Trini Mac and Cheese
2 pieces of Jerk Chicken
2 peices of Fried Chicken
Chines Pineapple Bun Burger
Jamaican coleslaw
Rice and Peas with Oxtail Gravy
As you can see this was plenty and it was more than enough for myself, my wife, and young daughter. The star of the show for me was the chicken. Both the jerk chicken and fried chicken were so delicious. I couldn't decide which was better so it was a tie for me.
The oxtail gravy on the rice and peas was also very good. Finally, the pineapple bun burger was a surprise hit for me. I didn't think I was going to like it but I did. The bun was buttery and flaky and could be a bit messy but it has good flavor.
The food was excellent and this is definitely a place I would recommend. We plan to come back to Toronto and give Patois another try.
